Privacy Policy

The short version: this is a free transit-information tool. We don't have user accounts, we don't sell or share data, we don't run ads, and we keep as little information as technically possible.

Website

• No accounts, no tracking profiles. You can use every feature without signing up.
• Favorites & recent stops are stored only in your browser's local storage on your device. They never leave your device and we cannot see them.
• Location: if you tap "locate me," your position is used in your browser to find nearby stops. It is not stored.
• Address search queries are forwarded to OpenStreetMap's Nominatim geocoding service through our server (so your IP address is not exposed to OpenStreetMap) and cached briefly to reduce load. See the OSMF privacy policy.
• Server logs: our hosting provider (Hostinger) keeps standard web-server logs (IP address, request URL, timestamp) for security and debugging, which rotate automatically.
• Map tiles are loaded from OpenStreetMap and Carto; your browser contacts those services directly to display the map.

SMS service (DART Departures)

• You always text first. We only ever reply to a message you send. We never initiate contact and never send marketing.
• What we process: your phone number and the stop code you texted, used solely to send the reply you requested.
• What we keep: a minimal log entry (phone number and timestamp, not message contents) retained briefly to prevent abuse/spam of the service, then deleted. We do not build a list of users.
• What we never do: sell, rent, or share your phone number; use it for marketing; contact you outside of direct replies. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
• Mobile information may be shared only with service providers that assist in delivering our services (such as Twilio, our SMS delivery provider). All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
• Opt out any time by replying STOP. Reply HELP for help. Message & data rates may apply. See the program terms.
• Messages are delivered through Twilio, our SMS provider, which processes them under its own privacy policy.

Data sources & affiliation

Schedule and real-time bus data come from publicly published Delaware Transit Corporation (DART First State) open-data feeds. This website and SMS service are independent projects and are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by DART or DelDOT.
